The Foundation's mission is a continuation of Joseph Rotblat’s tireless advocacy for peace in the world and the promotion of intercultural dialogue as well as supporting individuals involved in scientific and social endeavors.

Joseph Rotblat was born Józef Rotblat in Warsaw, Poland in 1908, into an assimilated Jewish family.

1995 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.

Born in Warsaw in 1908.

He joins the Manhattan Project.

In 1997 he receives British knighthood.

In 1938 he obtains his PhD from the University of Warsaw.

A Russell-Einstein Manifesto signatory.

In 1944 he becomes the first scientist ever to resign from working on the atomic bomb for ethical reasons.
